More success for NCL Photography students at BIPP Student Awards

New College Lanarkshire photography students have once again struck gold at the annual British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) Student Awards. A total of 6 awards were collected by students in our HNC and HND classes across 3 categories in the competition.

This year’s awards were held in Meow Studios, Edinburgh which were transformed from working photographic studios to an awards reception for the occasion. Over 70 entrants attended the awards to see the winners revealed.

From over 450 entries judges Alan McEwan and Marco Joe Fazio had the task of selecting the winners. A total of 33 awards were made on the night across 5 competition categories, the committee award and the overall student of the year award.

The first awards to be collected by NCL were in the Photojournalism category where HND student Heather Callaghan was awarded Merit for her image “Time Well Spent”.
